Hey guys, Caleb here with DSLR video shooter and these are the Nisi Athena Cinema prime lenses. In my opinion, these are end game lenses. You could purchase these and be absolutely thrilled with them for a very long time. As we’ll see, they massively outperform a lot of other Cinema lenses when it comes to budget options. There’s really four reasons I think these are just outstanding and totally worth your consideration if you’re trying to pick up a set of lenses. These include speed, size, price, and performance. We’re gonna get into all of that in this video.
NiSi Athena Cinema Prime Lenses Features
At launch, there are five focal lengths available including the 14 millimeter, 25, 35, 50, and 85. Nisi has also announced that there will be a 135mm coming next year, which is really exciting. These lenses offer a speed of T 1.9, with the exception of the 14-millimeter which is T 2.4. The maximum aperture is T 22. These lenses are full frame or Vista Vision lenses, and are available with various mounts including PL, Canon RF, Sony E, and L Mount. Nisi also offers different versions of these lenses with various filter options, making them incredibly versatile.
Size and Price
These lenses are also quite small, making them suitable for use with gimbals. They feature traditional cinema lens attributes such as gear rings, markings on both sides, and a uniform front diameter of 80 millimeters with a built-in thread of 77 millimeters.
