Main Shooting Gear

Jared Polin from FroKnowsPhoto.com has about $60,000 worth of gear that he’s taking on an African photo Safari. He will be taking two Canon R3 cameras with various lenses, including the 24-105mm f/2.8, 100-300mm f/2.8, among others, as well as a Sony A93 for testing.

Canon R3

Jared has decided to go with two Canon R3s because he loves the lens choices and the autofocus system of Canon. This choice allows him to bring a range of RF glass to cover different types of shots.

In addition to the cameras and lenses, Jared will be taking various accessories such as memory cards, external storage devices, lens cloths, and cleaning supplies. He will also be taking multiple action cameras from Insta360 to capture different angles and footage during his safari.

Memory Cards and Storage

Jared has loaded his gear with Prograde Digital memory cards, as well as External USBC flash drives or SSDs from brands like Samsung and Sandisk. He also has multiple backups of his data and will leave the files on the memory cards as an extra precaution.
