Using iPad Pro to Edit Photos Anywhere: Photoshop & Lightroom Tutorial

Hey everyone in today’s video we are doing a complete photography workflow on the iPad Pro 2020. We will be culling photos in Lightroom, editing photos in Lightroom, and doing a skin retouch in Photoshop as well. I have all the photos already on my iPad, synced from my iMac computer in Lightroom Classic.

Selecting Photos

To select photos on the iPad, you can swipe across them to view and swipe up to flag them or swipe down to unflag. It’s important to select a variety of photos to ensure a good final selection. I like to pick one out of similar looking ones to have a nice variety in the final images.

Editing in Lightroom

Once the photos are selected, it’s time to start editing. Begin with your favorite photo and start with adjustments like curves, exposure, color, and effects. Use the split-toning feature to add style to the photo. Once you’re happy with one photo, you can sync those edits to the rest of the images in the selection.

Skin Retouching in Photoshop

For a more detailed skin retouch, you can open the selected photo in Photoshop. Start by duplicating the layer to work on without altering the original image. Use the healing brush tool to remove any blemishes on the skin. Zoom in for more precision and ensure a natural look.

Continue to adjust the exposure, tint, and saturation on each photo to make them consistent with the selected edits. This ensures a cohesive look across all images in the album.

By utilizing the capabilities of the iPad Pro and apps like Lightroom and Photoshop, you can edit photos anywhere with ease and precision. The portability of the iPad Pro makes it a convenient tool for photographers on the go, allowing for efficient editing workflows and professional results.

Whether you’re culling, color correcting, or retouching, the iPad Pro offers a versatile platform for editing photos with ease and flexibility. Give it a try and see the difference in your workflow and the quality of your edits.
