The Best and Worst Lenses of 2023

Now, let’s move to the best and worst lenses of 2023. Before we get to that, I’m now drinking a toolshed red rage because I lost the last game. The third best lens of the year goes to the Nikon nikore 135mm PL. This is a beautiful lens, infinitely useful focal length for environmental portraiture commercial work, and again showing that Nikore are Masters at making beautiful optical formulas. The second best lens of the year goes to Sigma with their new 14mm f1.4, which is affordable and perfect for astrophotography. And the best lens of 2023 goes to the Sony 20-70 f4, with its sharp optics and versatile range. Sony has been doing a great job with lenses this year, including the 16-35 G Master 2.8 version 2, the 70-200 f4G Master, the 50mm 1.4, and the 300mm 2.8. But the 20-70 f4 takes the top spot for its compactness and optical quality.
