Synco G1 A2 Pro Mic vs DJI Mic vs 7Ryms iRay dw30 Mic – Which Wireless Mic is the Best Buy?

Introduction

What’s up everyone? Vu of envo films here, back with another video! Today, I’m outside in this 39-degree weather to compare three wireless microphone systems. I want to hear your thoughts in the comments below and I’ll share my thoughts at the end of the video.

So, let’s get started. Currently, I’m recording this audio through a Synco D1 shotgun deep throater mic. Now, if I was a proper tube doucher, I would have the mic up close to my lips, but let’s keep it normal. It’s being recorded into a Sony PCM A10 sound recorder, known for its exceptional sound quality.

The Contenders

I have three wireless microphone systems to compare: the DJI wireless mic, the Synco G1 wireless mic, and the 7Ryms iRay dw30 mic.

DJI Wireless Mic

The DJI wireless mic system is well-known among YouTubers who received it for free. While there are some issues with using it with Sony cameras, such as interference sounds, I’ve found a way to alleviate this by adjusting the gain settings on the camera and the receiver/transmitter. The DJI mic is priced at $330, and it comes with the receiver, transmitter, and wind muffs.

Synco G1 Wireless Mic

The Synco G1 wireless mic system is the cheapest among the three, priced at around $130. It includes the receiver, transmitter, additional lav mics, windmuffs, and a charging case. The case is slightly larger than the DJI case and provides extra storage space.

7Ryms iRay dw30 Mic

The 7Ryms iRay dw30 mic is slightly more expensive than the Synco G1, priced around $150-$160. It comes with the receiver, transmitter, lav mics, windmuffs, and a charging case. However, the charging case is the smallest among the three, only fitting the transmitter and receiver.

Testing the Mics

Now, let’s test these mics. I’ll walk back and forth to simulate real-life conditions and you can judge the sound quality.

DJI Mic

First, let’s test the DJI mic. I’ll clip it to my jacket and walk back and forth. The DJI mic has a special feature with a magnet that allows you to attach it to clothing without clipping it. The sound should be clear, as long as the gain settings are adjusted properly.

Synco G1 Mic

Next, let’s test the Synco G1 mic. As I walk, you may hear a train passing behind me, carrying various Chinese goods across the United States. The build quality of the Synco G1 mic is similar to the DJI mic, with the transmitter and receiver being able to withstand more wear and tear.

Comparing Build Quality

The DJI mic is smaller and more compact, featuring a touch screen on the receiver for different settings. On the other hand, the Synco G1 mic has a simpler design with buttons instead of a touch screen. Personally, I prefer the simplicity of the Synco G1 mic as I find myself accidentally touching the DJI mic’s screen.

Conclusion

After testing all three wireless microphone systems, it’s clear that each has its own strengths and weaknesses. The DJI mic offers good sound quality but comes at a higher price and lacks additional accessories. The Synco G1 mic provides great value for money with its included lav mics and charging case. Finally, the 7Ryms iRay dw30 mic falls in the middle in terms of price, but its charging case is limited in storage space.

In the end, the best buy will depend on your specific needs and budget. Consider the features, build quality, and accessories provided by each mic before making your decision. Happy filming!
