Hey there and welcome to phlearn! My name is Aaron Nace and today we’re going to show you how to create a simple logo in Photoshop.

Creating a New Document

The first thing we’re going to do is create a new document. Let’s make this 2000 by 2000 pixels.

Choosing a Company Name

Now, we need a company to start with, we can’t just create a logo out of thin air. Let’s call our company “Hearth”.

Choosing a Font

For our logo, we want to use a font that has a little more flair to it. To find a new font, we can use Adobe’s Type Kit.

Using Adobe Fonts

Log into your Creative Cloud account and navigate to Adobe Fonts. Here, you can explore different font categories and choose a font that suits your logo. In our case, we want a script type font with a leaf design.

Selecting the Font

After browsing through different fonts, we found a font called “Alicia” that fits our requirements. Click on the font and activate it in Photoshop.

Adding the Logo Text

Using the “Alicia” font, type in our company name “Hearth” and adjust the size as needed.
