Rachel vs. Daniel Phone Photo Challenge

We are so excited to partner with Samsung for today’s video. All the photos we shoot today will be shot using the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 phone, and this entire video is also shot on the Note 9, with the exception of some shopping footage. As we hope you know by now, we’re big advocates for not letting gear hold you back. As someone once said, “The best camera is the one you have with you,” and we think that he or she is right. So today, we’re challenging each other in a few different ways.

Model’s Outfit

One, we’re choosing the model’s outfit for the other photographer. Rachel decided to go for something different and chose overalls for Daniel. On the other hand, Daniel predicted correctly that Rachel would choose a dress for the model. Both outfits turned out great and added a fun element to the challenge.

Location Choices

Two, we’re both choosing two locations for the other photographer to shoot at. Rachel picked a location with nice sunlight being reflected off some windows, creating a rustic atmosphere. Daniel, on the other hand, chose a quiet street in the arts district, with lovely golden lights and foliage. Both locations provided unique backdrops for the photos.

At the first location, Rachel played with composition and angles, making use of the reflection in the windows. She also experimented with various poses and captured some stunning shots. Meanwhile, Daniel took advantage of the grey wall and the surrounding greenery to add depth to his photos.

For the second location, Rachel wanted to capture a more natural and carefree vibe. She asked the model to interact with the surroundings and tried different angles to create interesting compositions. Daniel, on the other hand, opted for a more playful approach by incorporating the foliage and using creative framing techniques.

The Results

After editing the photos, both Rachel and Daniel were impressed with the quality of the shots taken on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The images turned out so well that it was easy to forget they were taken with a mobile phone. Thanks to Samsung for providing the opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the Galaxy Note 9 in this challenge.

We hope this inspires you to get as creative as possible with the gear you have. Don’t let limitations hold you back from capturing amazing photos. Remember, the best camera is the one you have with you. Happy holidays, and feel free to check out more videos made with the Galaxy Note 9 by clicking the link in the description.
