Photography in the HEAT of Sri Lanka

Introduction

Hello everybody, welcome to a video about Sri Lanka. Although I am currently in the Arctic, editing the Sri Lanka video, I wanted to take a moment to address the recent attacks in Sri Lanka. My thoughts go out to all those affected by these tragic events. I had a wonderful time in Sri Lanka, meeting amazing people and experiencing their incredible hospitality. I encourage you to consider Sri Lanka as a travel destination, while ensuring your safety and following the advice of authorities.

Exploring Sri Lanka

On our two-week holiday in Sri Lanka, we had the opportunity to visit various locations and immerse ourselves in the beauty and culture of this incredible country.

Adventure and Photography

For this trip, I wanted to focus on adventure first and photography second, to truly appreciate the essence of the places we visited. While I am always equipped with my cameras, it is important to remember to live in the moment and not just capture it through a lens.

Ella and Sigiriya

One of our stops was Ella, a town known for its breathtaking views. We embarked on a challenging hike up Pedro Angular, which offered stunning panoramic views and the opportunity to meditate on a sacred stone.

In Sigiriya, we explored the ancient ruins on top of a natural rock formation. While the area was crowded with tourists, we managed to find a quiet spot to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings.

The Train Journey

One of the highlights of our trip was a seven-hour train ride through Sri Lanka. Although the views were spectacular, the train was crowded, making it difficult to move around and take photos. Despite this, the experience was still worthwhile and affordable.

Conclusion

As our time in Sri Lanka came to an end, we reflected on the incredible experiences we had and the warmth of the Sri Lankan people. Despite recent events, we encourage you to consider Sri Lanka as a travel destination, while ensuring your safety and following the advice of authorities. It truly is an incredible place that should not be missed.

Thank you for your support and for joining us on this journey. Stay tuned for more adventures and photography videos!

This video and trip were sponsored by Lumix. The majority of the footage was shot using the G9 and G85 cameras.
