My Biggest Regret of 2023

In today’s video we’re going to be talking about Bo’s biggest regret of 2023. Bo explains that this is not a pity party, but rather a way to share from his mistakes to help others. Bo reflects on his train ride to Helsinki, where he was helping a friend build his personal brand. He mentions the success of his workshop, Creat Autonomy, and teases the upcoming round two in April.

Realization of Delay

Looking back, Bo’s biggest regret was taking so long to go for it. He had two goals for 2023: launching his cinem lets and starting his live cohort-based workshop. These goals were achieved in October and November, respectively, at the end of the year after postponing them. Bo admits being a perfectionist contributed to the delay, wanting everything to be perfect before launching. It wasn’t until a friend prompted him to take a first step by buying a domain name that he made progress.

Lessons Learned

Bo shares three lessons that helped him overcome the overwhelming feeling of pursuing his dreams:

1. Step by Step Approach: Instead of tackling the entire project at once, Bo learned to take it step by step. This mindset shift made the goal more achievable and created momentum with each completed step.

2. Embrace Imperfection: Bo realized that perfection wasn’t necessary. It’s better to release and iterate on a project, learning from mistakes and feedback to improve continuously.

3. Fail Forwards: Bo acknowledges the fear of failure that often prevents people from taking risks. Embracing failure as a stepping stone for growth and learning allows for progress and forward movement in pursuing dreams.

Encouragement to Others

Bo encourages viewers with burning dreams to go for it, stop overthinking, and overcome the fear of failure. He believes that taking risks and learning from mistakes can lead to the realization of dreams. Whether it works out or not, the experience gained in the process is invaluable for personal growth and development. Bo emphasizes that the odds are in favor of those who dare to go for their dreams.
