I BOUGHT A NEW CAMERA! Why I made the switch to Full Frame.

Hey there, fellow photography enthusiasts! I am thrilled to share that I recently bought a new camera and made the switch to a full-frame sensor. After years of shooting with a crop-sensor camera, I finally decided to upgrade to a full-frame for its superior image quality and performance. In this blog, I’ll be discussing the reasons why I made the switch to a full-frame camera, the benefits I’ve experienced, and how it has elevated my photography to new heights. Whether you’re a professional photographer or a hobbyist, I hope to provide valuable insights and inspiration for anyone considering making the leap to a full-frame camera. Let’s dive in!

‘m using right now. And I was thinking, if I’m gonna upgrade, I might as well just go full-frame now, Because I do see the advantages that come along with it. For example, the low light performance is just phenomenal. It’s so good. The autofocus is really, really great. It’s already great on my APS-C cameras, but it’s amazing on here. The battery life is like, double what the a6500’s is. And the ergonomics, even though it’s a little bit bigger, it just feels really, really nice in my hands. And then, of course, there’s that full-frame look. So what are some of the things that held me back from making this choice earlier? Well, first and foremost, it’s the cost. It’s a very expensive camera, and the lenses are more expensive, so it’s a little bit of a daunting task. I also kind of love my APS-C system. I feel like there’s a little bit more versatility in there, because you can kind of get away with using broader lenses, and things like that. But after spending some time using the a7 III, I’m starting to really, really enjoy it. But it was the announcement of the a6600 that really kicked me over the edge. Because I thought, if I was going to get the a6600, it was going to be about eight or nine months before I would upgrade it. And at that point, I thought, I might as well just save the money, and just kind of chug along with the a6400 and a6500. But when they announced that, it gave me that little push that I needed to just go for it, And I’m really, really happy that I did. Because, as I mentioned, with the full-frame look, there’s just something about it that’s really, really appealing. So I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared to make these significant changes to what’s in my camera bag. But so far, it’s been really, really great. I’m very happy with the lens, the tripod, and especially the camera itself. I hope this video served somewhat as an interesting insight into why I made the choices that I did, and if you have any questions, anything like that, make sure to lemme know down below, and we can discuss it. Thank you so much for reading my article and until next time, make sure to keep on practicing, keep taking photos, and I’ll see you all later. Peace!
