Refurbished Panasonic Lumix S1R for $1,862.12

Guys quit public service announcement Panasonic’s full-frame forty seven point three megapixel s-1 are arguably the most completely thought out Photography centric full-frame mirrorless hybrid camera on the market, second only to the Leica SL to its cousin for build quality and still selling new for $3,700.

Availability and Price:

Now on bnh and Arama and amazon is as I’m recording this available refurbished at B&H for less than $1,900 completed sales on ebay are higher than this hundreds we’re talking basically half the price of a factory fresh and sealed s1r if you’re willing to put up with virtually nothing about half the price. Of a factory fresh sony a7r Mark for three-quarters of the price of the factory sealed sony a7r Mark three this is Nikon z6 territory never mind three hundred and fifty dollars under the price of a refurbished Nikon d70 Sony a7 three territory one hundred and fifty dollars less then a micro four. Thirds of EG h 5x and less than one-third the price of a brand new like a SL two which I happen to have here on the flip side you can say that right now it’s just five hundred and fifty dollars more then a micro four-thirds Panasonic gh4 aps-c Fujifilm XD three six hundred. And fifty dollars more than the aps-c sony 6600 or one inch sensor sony rx100 mark seven.

Comparison with Other Brands:

The question is are one one and to do the answers magnitude as for why i think there are three primary reasons wait autofocus performance and available collects what do the Sony’s have that the s1r Doesn’t better autofocus what does the z7 hat that the s1r doesn’t in theory better autofocus though it’s still not quite as good as the Sony’s and surprisingly close the Sony’s and icons are lighter and smaller than the s1r to significantly still I suspect that there are many of us who place a higher. Priority on the s1r superior build or goes ibis flippy screen menu touch interface video recording capabilities and functions really too numerous to get into here then we do on 10 tenths auto focus performance some of us won’t mind the weight and in fact may appreciate it and as a practical matter while sony. Autofocus superiority is absolute and meaningful for sports wildlife and low-light event work it is not nearly as meaningful for general photography and video not meaningful at all for narrative filmmaking where autofocus is rarely used the s-1 twins smoked the Sony’s and the Nikon Z’s in just about. Every other way except for the class and this is so interesting because while the s1 twins now have available to them many excellent and keenly priced Sigma art lenses in native film app Panasonic’s own outstanding s pro 50 millimeter 1.4 now accompanied by what I assumed to be. To be confirmed once I’m gone hands-on with them equally excellent 16 to 35 for 24 to 70 2.8 and 7204 and like is a bounding though i watering lead priced SL lens lines of primes and zoom nikon has managed to release a set of optically killer and keenly priced f 1.8.
