Bluetti AC70 Power Station Review

Hi! I’m Dustin Abbott and I’m here today to give you my review of the Bluetti AC70. This is their newest mid-range unit that is quite affordable and an update to their popular E70s. Compared to its predecessor, the AC70 has a more powerful 1,000 watt normal and 2,000 watt peak inverter, a larger capacity battery of 768 watt hours, and several other key improvements, all while dropping the price. Let’s dive into the handling and performance of the unit itself.

Battery and Power

The Bluetti AC70 features a 768 watt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery that is rated for over 3500 charge cycles to 80%, equating to 10 years of daily full recharge cycles. This battery capacity is an improvement of 52 watt-hours over the E70s. The AC70 has a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter with a peak performance of 2000 watts, making it suitable for a wide range of household appliances and needs.

Comparison to AC60

The AC70 shares some features with the AC60, such as a similar build, integrated handle, and weather resistance. However, the AC70 does not have an LED light, a feature present in the AC60. It also does not have a charge pad on the top, unlike the AC60. The AC70 has an internalized AC adapter, making it more portable, and it is capable of power pass-through, which the AC60 is not.

Ports and Inputs

The Bluetti AC70 is equipped with two 120-volt grounded plugs, two USB-A ports, two USB-C 100-watt outputs, a 12-volt car outlet plug, and a DC and solar input. It also boasts a grounding connector and supports communication for power management.

Other Features and Dimensions

The unit measures 12.4″ x 8.2″ x 10.1″ and weighs about 22 pounds. It features a responsive button interface and a clear, bright LCD screen. One notable omission is the absence of a charge pad, and it also does not have an IP rating for weather resistance. However, it does come with a 5-year warranty, providing a sense of security to the user.

Conclusion

The Bluetti AC70 offers a good balance of power, portability, and functionality. It is a versatile power station that can be used in various settings, from camping to emergency power backup. Despite some omissions and differences compared to the AC60, the AC70’s improved features make it a suitable choice for those looking for a reliable power source.
