Anker Powerhouse 100 Review

All right, I have had a problem for a while and I’ve just recently fixed it, and I feel like a lot of you might have a similar problem. That’s what we’re going to talk about today because I’ve been testing out these two 360 cameras a ton, and I’ve been shooting with different electronics that I need to charge while on the go. So, there’s always been this dilemma of whether to buy a ton of batteries or find a solution to charge them while on the go. In our case, we have two scenarios: air travel and power for the van or house.

Air Travel Power Solution: Anker Powerhouse 100

Previously, we have been using the Anker Powercore 10,000 as our go-to power bank for backpack charging. It has served us well, but I reached out to Anker and they sent over the Anker Powerhouse 100, which has 100 watt-hours of power. It is slightly larger than the Powercore 10,000, but it features a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, and a hidden 100-watt AC wall outlet. This AC outlet is perfect for charging devices like drones, iPads, and even a 96-watt MacBook Pro. It provides an additional 100 watt-hours of power, effectively doubling the life of your computer.

I’ve been using the Powerhouse 100 for a month now and it has been incredible. I can charge multiple devices simultaneously, and it has a built-in flashlight, which is handy. The best part is that it fits in my backpack and is TSA compliant, so I can carry it on airplanes without any issues. No more sitting next to wall outlets at the airport!

Power Solution for Van and House: Anker Powerhouse 800

For more demanding power needs, Anker also sent over the Powerhouse 800. This beast of a power station has two 60-watt USB-C ports, four 30-watt USB-A ports, and two 500-watt AC wall outlet ports. The USB-C ports can charge most devices, while the AC ports can handle heavy-duty appliances and electronics. You can even charge it using solar panels through the DC-in and Anderson port, making it perfect for camping trips.

I haven’t even come close to draining the Powerhouse 800 yet. It is a reliable and versatile power solution that can handle all our power needs, whether it’s for the van or during emergencies at home.

In conclusion, the Anker Powerhouse 100 and Powerhouse 800 are excellent power solutions for both travel and home use. The Powerhouse 100 is perfect for backpack charging during air travel, while the Powerhouse 800 is a robust power station for heavier power demands. With Anker’s reliable build quality and efficient charging capabilities, these power stations are a worthy investment for anyone in need of on-the-go power.
