Hey there, Aaron NACE, the founder of phlearn, congratulates all of the winners of the Masters of the Edit contest. Earlier this year, phlearn partnered with ello to feature photographers who were doing incredible work with post-production in their images. From many entries, five individuals were chosen based on their outstanding use of post-production to help make their images stand out from the crowd.

Nathan

Nathan’s use of color is absolutely stunning. He uses selections to add color into his photographs, creating abstract pieces of art. By photographing inherently colorful scenes and utilizing post-production techniques, he brings those scenes to life.

Rob

Rob does a fantastic job using Photoshop in post-production to bring his concepts to life in his images. In his image “Tailor Made,” he combines concept with post-production to create a realistic-looking image with a meaningful message. In “Escapism,” he excels at compositing photographs and matching lighting to craft a realistic photo.

Katya

Katya’s “Fairytale” series showcases her talent in making her images look realistic, as if there’s no Photoshop involved. Her interaction with animals and the environment creates a melancholic mood, giving the heavily produced images a natural and candid feel.

Marek

Marek impressively takes simple images and transforms them into incredible portraits through his use of expression, post-production, and lighting. His images almost resemble paintings with the depth and captivating quality they possess.

Felicia

Felicia’s series “Mcreechian Immersions” is lauded for echoing the environment through the clothing in the images, using post-production to create depth, and infusing an element of fine art into ordinary photos.

Phlearn is proud of all the winners and encourages everyone to browse their portfolios on ello. The work is truly remarkable, and a special thank you is extended to everyone who submitted to the contest as well as to ello. Phlearn looks forward to seeing more work from these incredible artists in the future.

Bye everyone!
